This one is going to go viral!

By: Karl Mamer 1/27/2011 3:42 PM

Going viral. It's the holy grail for anyone putting content on the web. Viral marketing has been around since the days when the Internet was primarily just an email system. People would email "make money fast" Ponzi schemes. I doubt anyone made money. I don't see many of these in email anymore. It's probably not because people have figured out pyramid schemes are doomed to fail. It's more likely email spam filters are really good at catching these things.

BlueCamroo supports the entire sales lifecycle

Yes, at some point you're likely going to need to support your product. If you're a small business, especially a new one, you might not have considered support issues. Things go wrong or clients don't always understand how to use features. Even before you make final delivery, if you're involving your clients in each stage of delivery, clients might have issues they need to report.

Don't be a twit on Twitter

The strategy is what I like to call "build a circle of trust" around potential clients. It's a passive strategy, maybe not one Type A sales people are used to, but one I think works best within the context of social networks. It's a strategy where you nurture your reputation and skill and let users find you on within virtual communities they trust. This week, let's see how we can turn that "circle of trust" strategy to Twitter. Unlike Facebook, Twitter does not have any central communities people can join and view persistent wall-type posts.

To do or not to do?

Okay, so there's probably a reason none of the Bard's major works ever featured a project manager. Whatever. But there comes a time when you might ask yourself "do I really need to add a task for this item?" Compared to some other project management tools, BlueCamroo tasks are extremely powerful and flexible, with features such as assignment management, dependencies, different task types, etc. A consequence of this, however, is that the task entry form is relatively detailed. For many tasks we need to accomplish during our week, you don't need to create a full fledged task. These are typically caretaking kind of items: re-order toner cartridges, get decorations for the company Christmas party, post a job ad on Monster.com, etc.

Build Trust and Business on Facebook

By: Karl Mamer 1/12/2011 1:28 PM

It would seem the way Facebook is used by the vast majority of those half billion people is not always how you'd want to use Facebook as a business person. More challenging, Facebook is the most sociable of the social networks. That is to say, a direct business pitch will probably not read well when most people are using Facebook to post pictures of family and friends and acquiring enough Farmville cash to buy a pig for their farm.

How to Create a Triggered Email Campaign

By: Karl Mamer 1/4/2011 2:46 PM

This blog post will show you how to create a campaign that will launch when you add a new lead. The new lead will have one or more emails delivered to the new lead automatically. In this example we'll create a campaign that sends an email of a list of dealers when a new lead is added from a certain geographic location.
