Dropping (email) in on BlueCamroo

Many sites are increasingly making use of email as a way to get content into, say, a blog or social networking site. BlueCamroo is no different. Sometimes you need to get something into BlueCamroo quickly and you only have access to your email. BlueCamroo provides several hard-coded email addresses that you can shoot an email to. Upon receipt, BlueCamroo will use the To, Subject and Description fields to file the email appropriately.

The May BlueCamroo update continues with more enhancements to Social Network Scout. We've added the ability to manage Facebook pages. As well, we've changed the channel search interface. Other updates include scheduling events while logging a call and message sorting. If you integrate BlueCamroo with Quickbooks, see below for a setup modification.

Social Networking is not a numbers game

So, are you racking up large number of Twitter followers or Facebook? Slow down. All that effort might not be doing you any good. Spreading a message is not the same as affecting people with the message. Unless you have the ability to reach thousand or millions of people with empathetic talents of Oprah, re-think your strategy. It's better to build smaller number of high quality online relationships versus thousands of low quality associations. Target users who likewise seem to use their Twitter of Facebook accounts to maintain high quality online relationships.

Extra Data Objects turn it up to eleven

Extra Data Objects emerged from a discussion with a user. They liked the Extra Fields concept (where you can add extra fields to details page) but they wanted the ability to collect competitor analysis data and associate it with each lead. They were using a spread sheet to fill in cells with largely text data. And they could have used the attachments option. However, they wanted the ability to search the data and build reports from the data.
